General Uses of Flexon Tablet

Flexon Tablet is a combination of two medicine. It is generally used in treating Pain, Inflammation, and fever.

It is generally used in treating Muscle pain, Toothache, Headache, and Backache.

Flexon Tablet can also be used in treating pain and inflammation in Joints (Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis).

Ingredients of Flexon Tablet

Ibuprofen: It Contains Ibuprofen(400mg). It is a class of medicine known as NSAID(Non-Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drugs). It is generally prescribed in treating a variety of pain such as toothache, Backache, Muscle Pain.

Paracetamol: Flexon Tablet contain Paracetamol(325mg). It is a class of medicine known as Antipyretic. Antipyretics drugs are those which help in treating fever. Paracetamol shows both analgesic(pain reducer) and Antipyretic(fever reducer) effect.

How does Flexon Tablet work?/Mechanism of action

It is a combination of two medicine. Ibuprofen in this tablet works by blocking the activity of the enzyme “Cyclo-oxygenase”. This in result helps in preventing the formation of Prostaglandins from Arachidonic acid. Prostaglandins are usually responsible for pain and inflammation. Blocking the formation of Prostaglandins helps in relieving symptoms of pain and inflammation.

Paracetamol in this medicine also works by interfering with the production of Prostaglandins and helps in treating symptoms of pain and fever.

When Flexon Tablet is prescribed?

Fever: Flexon Tablet helps in lowering the body temperature. So it can be used in treating fever.

Pain: This tablet can be prescribed in treating pain that may be associated with muscle pain, joint pain dental pain, muscle cramps.

Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis: This medicine may be used in treating pain and swelling associated with Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Gout: This medicine may also be used to treat inflammation and pain associated with Gout.

Side effects of Flexon Tablet

In general, Flexon Tablet does not cause any serious side effects. But in some case, it may show some side effects like:

Precautions

Alcohol: Avoid taking Flexon Tablet with alcohol.
